The following is a list of equipment that we have taken out of primary service for one reason or another. The items have either been retired, surplused, or placed on our reserve equipment list according to our needs.

Status: Reserve
Reason: Lack of flip out LCD viewfinder makes usage difficult in the field. WCSS has officially abandoned the Digital8 format for daily use.
(1) Sony TRV260 Digital8 Camcorder w/ Nightshot.
Status: Surplused
Reason: WCSS has officially abandoned the Digital8 format for daily use.



(1) Sony TRV128 8mm Camcorder w/ Nightshot.
Status: Surplused
Reason: WCSS has officially abandoned the 8mm format for daily use.

Status: Use for Parts
Reason: Good camcorders but this poor soldier died in the line of duty.

Status: Tossed in the bin.
Reason: Microphones did not perform to our standards  during testing.

Status: Retired.
Reason: Inconsistant readings. We'll stick with our K2s.

Status: Reserve
Reason: Lack of PC interface makes transferring audio cumbersome when compared to the VN-4100PC with USB interface.

Reason: Unit became defective, unable to repair.

Status: Retired
Reason: Camera has a tendancy to pick up too much dust/condensation, especially in night images. Replaced with the Fuji Finepix J12.
